Thank you for a very Happy Saturday!

Today the Evening Chronicle shared my story on their website and the response has been just incredible!

My family, friends and I have been contacted by friends and family far and wide who have seen the story. And many of them have taken the time to share it with others on social media.

I am so thrilled to be able to raise the awareness of MS and the MS Trust.

(Thanks to Newcastle Chronicle for the photo!)

A number of people who have read the article took the time to visit my fundraising page and have sponsored me. At dinner I was amazed to see my fundraising target has been smashed! This includes support from people who have never met before. Thank you so much! To know I have this level of support is amazing! I am thrilled to have you join me as members of my virtual running team.

People have posted lovely comments on the article and the links that have been shared on social media. I have also received offers from people both living locally and in other countries, who have read my story, to join me on a run. What motivation all this support has given me.

I was really thrilled to read the message of support from Joanne S ‘I’ve had this awful disease since I was 27 and I take my hat off to you for doing this. Wishing you the best of luck xx’

It was amazing to also read Gillian J’s comment ‘My sister has this horrible disease. It’s a fantastic thing you are doing – best of luck xxx’

I have been ecstatic today to have the support from people who have sadly been touched by the condition. Unfortunately a huge challenge of this condition is that every path is different and no-one has the same symptoms. This makes it very complex to treat and manage and means everyone’s experience is different, but it is helpful to think we are all in this together. Together, everyone who is touched by this condition, we will find away to beat it. Every day this happens, every day we succeed no matter how small the achievement may seem, they’re not and I think we should we should never stop celebrating that.

Today has certainly been a huge day of happiness and celebration for me, so thank you to everyone who is supporting and following me on my challenge!

Thank you to my Dad, Dorothy Lamb, Amanda Charge, Anonymous, Kate Lowrey, Gillian J, David Adie and Joanne S for supporting the MS Trust and joining my challenge today!
